I had the pleasure of working with an adorable 7 month old this week. We worked thogether on her newborn pictures and; it’s hard to beleive she is already 7 months old.

Fall fun…

What a great way to spend part of a beautiful fall weekend, working with a fun family! I had them hike around in the woods, climb a tree, head into a field and wade into a river. They were up for everything I asked; which made it that much more fun for me. I enjoy being able to try lots of locations and chatting away while we work. I spent too much time chatting, smiling and laughing during this morning for it to be anything but fun!!! So thank you to the girls and their parents for letting us spend part of the day with all of you.

Here are the sisters. I love seeing them together!

I love this one in black and white. Her gentle smile works beautifully for a serene black and white.

Her dress color pops so great with the leaves.

This one fits her personality perfectly…spunky! So up into a tree she goes!!

We took the girls out for a session. We missed doing one last year…so it was way over due! I also posted a bunch more images over on Facebook.

A snuggly little newborn…what can be more precious?! I was able to spend some time with this adorable one, along with her mom and big sister, recently. I had worked with her big sister, as a newborn and baby; so it was exciting to work with their new little one. This little peanut has quite the little personality showing already. She was pretty alert and just wanted to see the world around her. You can tell she doesn’t want to miss a thing :)! Her mom did such an awesome job keeping her calm and eventually getting her asleep.

I love how this one conveys how tiny she is in the world.

The tiny hint of a smile, in the one image, just makes me smile. We used this trunk with her big sister when she was a newborn. It’s fun to see a new baby on it :)!

Here she is with mom. I always love seeing the interaction between a child and parent. It’s so important to catch those moments. They grow up to fast.

And here is her sooooo cute big sister. Who is so excited and proud to be the big sister!

Arkansas bound….

I had the pleasure of working with Erin and her mom recently for a Senior session. It’s always so much fun working with these seniors. They know just what to do with little direction; must be from watching “America’s Next Top Model”! I can say something as simple as, “can you just…” and before I know it, they are posing themselves. Along with being so natural in front of the camera, Erin is also an incredible gymnast! She is excited about receving a full-ride athletic scholarship to the University of Arkansas for gymnastics. She should be so proud of herself; she shows how hard work and perseverance pays off. Congratulations Erin!!!

Hail to the Victors…

I got to work with this adorable little guy again this week. A few weeks ago we worked together with his cousins; but this time was all about him. His mom shared with me the most heart-warming book, she created, about his 4 month journey to come home. It was just beautiful…full of such emotion. To see all of the stages he went through while overcoming his challenges was so amazing. It was filled with all of the people who love him and worked so hard to bring him home. He and his family are truly Victors.

He’s surrounded by a Michigan family. I heard his Uncle is doing a great job getting him lots of maize and blue!!

Cousins…

I had the chance to work with some adorable little ones this week; a brother and sister along with their little cousin. It was a special session…not only because I was able to work again with two little ones I adore but because I was meeting an incredible little baby for the first time. He has had quite the challenging beginning; starting even before he was born. He has been through so much medically. To see him in all his baby cuteness just made me smile. It was fun watching Colin and Grace interact with him. You could see their love for their Aunt and Uncle, too! I also learned Colin and Grace are quite the fishin’ buddies and have great imaginations! A fun way to spend my morning :)!

Here they are…too cute :)!!!

Colin loves Thomas the Train! He taught me a lot about Thomas!

I’ve had the pleasure of having sessions with Grace and watching her grow. She loves her little fingers, a source of comfort. Here she is over time….age 3 mos, 1 year and 2 year.

This mom has unbelievable strength and the support of a loving family. Katie told me, she and her husband looked into their son’s eyes and saw he had strength…he was a fighter.

Fishin’ buddies….I was told my camera was too loud…it was scaring away the fish. They reminded me to stay quiet with a cute little…”shhhhh”.

North Farmington 2011

I had fun working with this Senior and her mom on the weekend. I was so impressed with her energy level; especially considering she had just gotten home, the previous night, from a cruise. What a great Senior trip! She’s excited for the end of the year and ready for college! She’s not only beautiful and athletic…smart too! She’s choosing between Penn State and Michigan…tough choice.

Kristen is a wonderful gymnast and did great at her State meet this year. Congratulations on an incredible gymnastics career!!

A favorite with my three girls! She was looking beautiful in this dress…so fun, too!

We loved this old building. I did a vintage wash finish for this image.

She has such a sweet personality. She was always smiling, despite the time and the temperatures! I love this one…her eyes are so expressive.

She had a favorite headband she wanted to get in some of the images. My girls loved the “bling” on it! I love the colors in this one!

Blustery day…

This past weekend, I was able to work with these three sisters. The weather conditions weren’t ideal; but these girls did a great job for me! They were full of energy…which may have been related to being gymnasts or the fact they were trying to stay warm :)!! I’ve had the privilege of working with these girls for the past three years. It is great being able to capture their changes as they grow. I look forward to their session each year!

This one was a favorite in our house. They look great at this location.

I think the hood frames her face so beautifully and shows off her eyes. She looks so gentle; which fits her caring, big sister personality.

I think the green is so striking on her. It makes her pop…which is great with her happy personality.

This is the littlest sister. She is full of spunk and life : )!! She just looks so happy!

Since all three are gymnasts, we had to get one in their Oakland spirit wear! This one was a hit in our house.

I just had to snap this one. I was walking behind their car and noticed this on their spare tire cover. I think the sentiments, the girls had written, sum up this family and their way of life….”be happy!”.
